Webcam for Remote Desktop is a software that allows to redirect your webcam from your local workstation to a remote desktop session.
When working within a remote desktop session, you can get access to the local disk drives or serial ports by standard means of remote desktop technology (whether Microsoft RDP or Citrix ICA). However, up until now there has been no elegant way to use a local webcam within a remote session.
Webcam for Remote Desktop works right out of the box. By default, all the user has to do is simply log into a remote session and the program will automatically redirect the first webcam available.
So now you can finally use webcams with Skype, Yahoo! Messenger, Google Talk, ICQ and many other applications in RDP or Citrix environments!
Main features:
-Supports both RDP and Citrix ICA
-Works with any webcams or other DirectShow compatible devices (e.g. TV-tuners)
-Each webcam is isolated within of the session
-Reduced traffic utilization
-Webcam device drivers are not required on the server side
-Guaranteed Skype, Yahoo! Messenger, Google Talk and ICQ compatibility
-Sharing webcams with several applications on the remote side
-One and the same webcam can be redirected in several remote sessions simultaneously
-Windows Firewall friendly. Doesn't require additional settings.
-Webcam auto connection
